Recycle - t-shirts - The Desk Lawn

Materials:
*Cotton T-shirts - I used two extra large t-shirts in two shades of green.
*A 6 1/2" square of craft styrofoam - I bought a circle and cut it with a razor blade into a square (just in case you can't find a square)
*Scissors
*Hot Glue
*Some brown felt

Step 1
Make your t-shirt into yarn - see here for a great tutorial on a nice and fast way to cut your t-shirt yarn (by Polka Dot Pineapple)

Step 2
Cut your t-shirt yarn into 5" pieces and start pushing them (with your scissors or with something else pointy) into your Styrofoam.

Step 3
Keep pushing the little guys into your styrofoam until its totally covered and looks like this:

Step 4
Cover with brown felt  - place stryfoam onto a piece of felt and cut out enough to cover the bottom and sides of your stryofoam square.

Step 5
Use your handy dandy glue gun and glue the brown felt up all four sides of your square.

Step 6
Now fold and glue those edges in.

Step 7
Finish off with a nice little border around t-shirt grass.

 Step 8
Put on your desk or by your phone and enjoy!
